- Identify the property you are interested in.
- Supply information about your proposed financial arrangements, e.g., are you a cash buyer, using a mortgage, reliant on the sale of another property?
- Supply details of your selling agent and details of any related sale
- Supply appointed solicitor contact details.
- A reservation deposit of £1000 paid by BACS will be required to secure the property. This is deducted from the price of the house on completion.
- Supply proof of identity and proof of address.
- Sign a copy of the reservation agreement, this is the point the property will be taken off the market.
- Reservation agreement will be sent to the solicitors with a contractual exchange usually required within six weeks.
- Choices meeting to decide on kitchen colour and style, flooring, bathrooms and any other extras required.
- Exchange of contracts, legally binding between both parties.
- The internal fit out of your new home normally takes 6-8 weeks following exchange of contracts.
- Handover takes place on the day of completion, immediately after legal completion has taken place. You should liaise with us to arrange a convenient time to handover the keys to the property.
- Meter readings will be taken and Dennis Edwards Homes will notify all of the relevant utility companies who will then write to you in turn.
- As well as presenting with the keys to the property, a handover pack containing all the relevant warranties and information for the property will be issued.
