The First Homeowners Have Moved In at The Mulberries

The first homeowners have moved in at The Mulberries at Dudleston Heath.

Edward and Kathy collected the keys to the first completed home on the development. They are first-time buyers, and they reserved off-plan back in January, when the plot was still a set of foundations. They have watched the house go up week by week ever since.

It is a two-bedroom Windsor semi-detached, one of 29 homes we are building on the edge of Dudleston Heath, a few minutes from Ellesmere and within easy reach of Oswestry, Wrexham and Shrewsbury.

It still doesn’t feel quite real. We reserved back in January when it was a set of foundations, so watching it go up week by week has been brilliant. Everyone has been really easy to deal with. Any question we had, we got a straight answer. Walking through the front door with our own keys was worth every bit of the wait.

Every home at The Mulberries is built to the latest energy efficiency standards and covered by a 10-year LABC warranty.

This is the moment the whole team waits for. A development stops being a building site the day someone puts their own kettle on, and Edward and Kathy have done exactly that. We have been building homes in this part of Shropshire since 1990, and handing the first set of keys over at a new site never gets old. I am delighted for them, and very proud of the team who built it.

More homes at The Mulberries are due for completion through the autumn, with the two-bedroom Windsor homes from £238,000. Sales are handled by Bowen in Ellesmere.
