Bungalow sales booming

The Kinton Dovaston Park West Felton

A site of new homes in Shropshire has secured sales on half of its first phase despite restrictions relating to the Coronavirus. Dovaston Park, in the village of West Felton is the sister site to the popular Tedsmore Grange development which is now nearing completion.

All four of the two-bedroom Kinton bungalows at Dovaston Park on Holyhead Road, were reserved within weeks of being released.

The site on Holyhead Road began works in October last year and has faced several delays due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

“It was fantastic to be able to open up the site to the public for the first time,” says Charlotte Edwards, director at Dennis Edwards Homes, “we’re following government guidelines regarding social distancing which provides more challenges when showing viewers around a house, but all viewers have been very happy to work with us on this.

“The popularity of the Kinton bungalows was very surprising, we had people travelling from all over the West Midlands to view them. Feedback on the bungalows was encouraging and included how well designed they were, generous plot sizes and realistic pricing.”

The bungalows which feature a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and bathroom have proved very popular among buyers. They also come with solar panels on the garage roof, reducing electricity costs.

There are still four remaining plots available on Dovaston Park: Plots 23 and 22 The Sutton four-bedroom homes are still available at £330,00, alongside plot 21 The Twyford at £305,000. The largest property on phase one, The Felton on plot 20 is still available at £395,000.

All Dennis Edwards Homes come with a 10-year LABC guarantee as standard and can be bought through the government’s help to buy scheme, meaning only a 10% deposit is required.
